Last night was soooooo much fun. It sucks that we lost but its basketball. There’s a lot more games to play. I’m hella tired right now. I may need some Red Bull for tonight. I can’t wait to wear my costume!!! It’s been too long since I’ve dressed up in a costume. Seriously Halloween is my FAVE. I hope everyone enjoys their weekends 🙂
Man this week is FLYING by. Tuesday was awesome, aside from the massive fight Mike and I had after the concert. I was hungover allllll day yesterday. It was horrendous. I went to bed at 9 last night lol. But it was worth it cause I feel great and well-rested today! Going to the Cavs game tonight. I am vair vair excited ^_^ This week has been busy but awesome. I can’t for Halloween festivities this weekend. Ahhhhhhhhh!
What do you do when one of you “friends” is kind of a crazy person?
Just read some of your comments this morning and was pleasantly surprised. I really didn’t think anyone was reading this blog! That made my day 🙂 I really want this blog to turn into a hub for my creativity and fashion and inspiration and I hope you guys continue to keep reading. I abandoned this blog for awhile because I was so hurt and down in the dumps but I am loving life right now, even with a few hiccups along the way. But that’s life right? Anyway, this week is going to be amazing! I’m tagging it the #BestWeekEver because it will be 😀
Every Sunday I’m going to try and post photos of people who inspire my style on a daily basis. We’ll see if I can keep this up!
Rihanna is a style icon. Period. She started the whole “Street Sport” craze and has transformed herself every year to stay ahead of the trends. Because of her I’m obsessed with mesh and perforated materials, leather leggings with platform sneakers, black and gold and wearing dresses with boots. Although I will say I did the whole half shaved head 2 years before she did 😉
Blake Lively is one of the most stunning creatures on the planet. She always inspires me to make masculine cuts feminine. Her blazer/suit game is ALWAYS on point. Because of her I love to roll up the cuffs of my blazers and wear with cute short shorts and layer on the necklaces. Her style requires a lot of work but looks effortless. That is something we all could use a lesson in.
Kerry Washington makes “girly” look appealing. I’m not a girly girl. I’m an escalated tomboy. But Kerry inspires me to wear dresses and lacy things. I love wearing the crop top maxi skirt combo because of her. SHE WORE THAT WHILE SHE WAS PREGNANT AND STILL LOOKED BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE. She inspires me to wear white on white, something I try not to do because white is to clean for me. Accessorizing with pearls and white gold with an A-line dress; she’s my summer muse.
Taylor Momsen is probably unintentionally where I get most of my style inspiration. She and I dress very similar, albeit she’s a little more risqué than I am. I have recently started taking more risks with what I wear. Cut-off denim shorts as short as my underwear, see-through cut-out tops, bold print mixing, darker eye make-up, odd hair color choices, etc. Taylor doesn’t give a fuck and she’s proven that if you do it with enough confidence, everyone will be wanting to wear and do whatever you’re doing.
What a great weekend it’s been. Especially today. I worked out and got my laundry put away. I washed my hair and just generally felt pretty productive. You may not know me but for me to be productive on a Sunday is quite a feat. All because I didn’t drink much this weekend. I love going out and partying but man the hangovers the next day really suck everything out of me. That’s the one true downside, especially as I get older. But it was good for me to have a chill weekend considering the busy week I have coming up. I have a concert on Tuesday, the Cavs game on Thursday and then Halloween shenanigans Friday and Saturday. Plus friends will be in town. I’m so excited for the #BestWeekEver 🙂
