Decorating My Guest Bedroom – Eclectic Mod

Here we are again, ladies and gents 👍🏽 I’m sure you’ve been eagerly awaiting the next entry into this series. If not, read the first chapter before you read this one 👀

With option 1, it was all about the lack of color and how I can use that to create a cool, modern, yet dynamic guest bedroom.

This time, we’re gonna talk about a style I’ve recently grown to love: Mid-Century Modern. But not just any type of Mod. The eclectic, colorful and dazzling kind. Inspired by the bright and bold neon colors of that era. Soooooo Jetsons!

Such a stunning, eclectic mix of color and texture. I fall in love every time I see it. Of course it’s Dot & Bo all the way!

First off, this is the bed style I want. Bright teal and upholstered of course. Pairing this color with bright accent colors like neon yellow and hot pink would amazing right? Seriously the sky’s the limit with this style!

LOVE wall decals. To keep with the mid-century mod look, using space and moon motifs really help tie that theme together.

I want to pair the teal bed with a couple of coral/magenta/pink chairs to give it that crazy, eclectic vibe. I’m trying to decide if I want an ottoman or an end table between the two chairs. What do you guys think?

Another key thing I’m struggling with is accessories, like lamps, rugs, etc. I suppose I’ll have to get all the big pieces in the room first before I decide on accents. I’m thinking white and magenta bedding to create that perfect color combo. But maybe keep everything else simple?

Do something, bitch
